We Drew Blood
The Bloody Truth
On October 1, Sebastien “Mr. D” Boileau splattered red paint across the sidewalk surrounding Adcetera’s Midtown Houston office — the final touch on Houston’s newest, and arguably most monstrous, public art piece.
A startling visual representation of the haunting truth a low blood supply presents for those in need of donations, The Bloody Truth is a 28-foot-tall mural located on the corner of Louisiana Street and Rosalie Street. Designed by Adceterans and brought to life by Houston muralist Sebastien Boileau, The Bloody Truth mural was created to raise awareness of the ongoing blood shortage in Houston and around the world, to encourage those eligible to donate, and to spread the word via social media posts featuring #thebloodytruth.
The Bloody Answer
As a results-driven advertising and marketing agency, we believe in presenting solutions to the problems we see. To help further facilitate community action around this worthy cause in the month of October, we’re hosting weekly blood drives throughout the month of October.
We know you’re busy. We know you’re not a huge fan of the needle prick. We know you have other things you could be doing during your lunch hour today. But having donated as a company quarterly for 20 years and counting, we also know it’s worth it. So if you have a half hour this afternoon, stop by our office at 3000 Louisiana Street to donate blood. And if you only have a minute, check out our mural and share it using the hashtag #thebloodytruth to show your support. And if you can’t make it this time, don’t worry. Sign up now to claim a time slot for one of our later blood drives on October 17 and 25. Every drop, every type, and every life counts. Together, let’s make this October Houston’s most successful donation month yet.
